Carrd vs Squarespace: Which One Fits Your Business (2026)

Carrd vs Squarespace comes down to how many pages you need. Carrd builds a one-page site for $19 a year. Squarespace builds a full site with many pages, a store and a blog, and costs several times more: pick it only if you will use those.

Checked on 13 October 2026 on carrd.com/pro and squarespace.com/pricing. Squarespace shows prices in your local currency. I checked from France, so its prices below are in euros.

Price: What You Pay per Year

Carrd Pro Standard is $19 a year for up to 10 sites, with your own domain, forms and embeds. Add about $11 a year for a .com domain. The full breakdown is on the Carrd pricing page.

Squarespace has four plans: Basic, Core, Plus and Advanced. Billed yearly, they were €12, €18, €32 and €69 a month when I checked. A yearly plan includes the domain for the first year; after that it renews at Squarespace's standard rate.

The gap is large, and it is only a saving if one page is enough for you. If you need what Squarespace adds, the cheaper tool costs you more in workarounds.

Pick Carrd If

  • Your site has one job: say what you do, show proof, get a call or a form.
  • You are a consultant, a freelancer, a contractor or a local service, and customers find you by name or by referral.
  • You don't plan to publish articles or run a store with a cart.
  • You want a site you can leave alone for a year.

Pick Squarespace If

  • You need several real pages, one per service or location.
  • You will write a blog and keep writing it.
  • You sell a catalogue of products and need a cart, stock and orders in one place.
  • You want forms, store and domain billed by one company.

If you choose Squarespace, start with one focused page before the rest: how to make a landing page on Squarespace.

If You Pick Carrd

You don't have to start from a blank page. These templates are finished one-page business sites that you apply to your own Carrd account.
