Who this template is for

Anyone running a Carrd site with analytics, an embedded form, or a payment button, and visitors in the EU or UK. That is most Carrd sites. If you have been meaning to add a consent notice and never got to it, this is the twenty-minute version.

It is not legal advice and it is not a consent-management platform. It is a properly worded banner, styled, with a close control and a place to link your privacy policy.

The banner

A fixed notice with the standard consent wording — cookies and tracking technologies, personalised content, traffic analysis — and an X to dismiss. Edit the text; keep the structure.

The privacy-policy block

A short “What is a privacy policy?” section explaining what personal data you collect, why, and how you keep it — the text your banner should link to. Replace it with your own policy or link out to one.

How to add it to your site

1. Buy it and copy it to your Carrd account. After purchase, click “Use this template” and it appears in your dashboard. Needs Carrd Pro Standard ($19/year).
2. Copy the banner into your existing site. Open the banner template, copy its elements, and paste them into your own site in the Carrd editor. Adjust the text and the privacy-policy link.
3. Publish. The banner shows on load and stays dismissed once closed. The Carrd guide has a section on privacy and cookies if you want the background.

Do I need a Carrd Pro account?

Yes. Carrd Pro Standard ($19/year) or higher is required to use a custom template and connect your own domain. It is one of the lowest hosting costs of any website platform.

Does this make my site GDPR compliant?

It gives visitors a clear notice and a way to dismiss it, and a place to state your policy — which is what most small sites are missing. Full compliance depends on what you actually collect. If you run ad tracking, you need more than a banner.

Will it work with a template I already bought?

Yes. It is designed as an add-on for any Carrd site, including all Templatery templates.
